This white sand island about 250 meters long and about 50 meters wide. And will be slightly closed when the tide is high. Surounded by two islands called Nuha Watanpeni and the side of it there is an island inhabited by bats. Meko beach also surrounded by three active volcanoes, there are Ile Ape volcano located in Lembata island, Ile Boleng volcano located in Adonara and Ile Batutara which is located in the middle of the ocean.

From Larantuka harbor you will take about 1 hour and 45 minutes with a boat to Waiwerang harbor in Adonara island. From Waiwerang harbor, with motorcycle or with car you can take a 45 minutes trips to Witihama sub-district. You have to continue the trip eastward and it’s about 45 minutes more to the village of Meko. When you arrived at Meko village you have to rent a boat that can load 6 to 8 people with the cost of each person 25,000 rupiahs. So the total costs will be around 200,000 rupiahs for the round trip.

All the tiring trips will pay off with the fascinating view. The clear sea makes us able to see coral reefs in the sea. A fusion of blue and green sea colors adds to the beauty of the beach.
